As much of the left-wing media will deliberately ignore this, I am posting this fine speech here.

Alternative Technologies

No – not that sort of alternative technology. I mean alternatives to the various ICT platforms and social media outlets that we have all come to know and hate. It is very likely that some of the well-known platforms will stop serving Christian content; we are already aware of a number of topics that get…

Holmes and Fry

Audible.com is that branch of Amazon that sells audio books. I like audio books. An Audible subscription involves a regular monthly subscription, which gives me an audiobook credit every month. So, I obviously usually like to buy books listed as more expensive than the monthly subscription. Even so, I am sometimes amazed at the size…

New Social Media Platforms

The degree of interference from the managers of the main social media platforms means that it is important to consider alternatives. There are a number of alternatives available. I have had difficulty finding an alternative to Twitter. I found one once, but it turned out to be filled with extremists, with racist views that I…

The Reign of King Jesus

The Events of Revelation 19-21 When we examine the seven visions of Revelation 19-21, we find that there are four events to come. The Second Coming of Jesus The Millennial Reign The Day of Judgment The New Creation We should say a word about the Second Coming, as this event is signified by the rider…

Revelation 20

It has been said that the devil hates six chapters of the Bible more than any other. These chapters are also the ones, which seem to cause the most controversy among Christians. They are the first three chapters of the Bible and the last three. And it is, indeed, these six chapters that seem to…

Eschatology Matters As I write these articles, the world is in the middle of the so-called COVID19 pandemic. I am not intending to talk about that here, except, perhaps, to illustrate a few points. What I have noticed, in conversations, is that the outbreak is causing Christians to think and talk about end-times, in a…

Dreamy Twilight

I am going to take some time to put together a book about eschatology under the title Jesus Will Return. However, I will do this in a manner which is a bit different. I intend to publish each chapter here as an article – together with an audio version of the article. You will be…

Why I struggled with Limited Atonement

What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills. (Romans 9:14-18)

Please read all of this, before you judge me! When I was a young university student, I fell in with a crowd of Calvinists. I am glad I did, because those guys were serious about reading the Bible, and basing their theology on it. During that time, I was introduced to the writings of some…

Brexit

I have thought many times, over the last several months, that I should have written something here about Brexit. The problem is that I thought there was too much to say. On June 23rd 2016, in a referendum about the UK’s membership of the European Union, 17.2 million people – just under 52% of those…

In a previous articles on Ubuntu and Mint, I commented on how easy it now was to install network printers on these easy-to-use Linux distros. Dialog boxes opened for easy searching for network printers. But I also noted that I could not get the scanner elements of my multi-function devices to be recognized. However, I…
