In 1982, British chat show host was interviewing Kenny Everett, Roy Castle and the legendary drummer Buddy Rich. Castle persuaded Rich to start drumming a rhythm without proper drums, just using sticks and loose change. Then followed one of my all-time favorite TV moments, as Castle tap-danced, Rich provided rhythm, and a sudden, secret, extra equally legendary guest made a surprise appearance. In the second video clip, something else very special happens, that wouldn't happen today. Two of the world's musical megastars start jamming with no rehearsal, with a studio band that also were not aware of what they were going to do. Yet it works spectacularly well.
